Why do nightclubs have lines

Few nightclub experiences are more frustrating then to wait in a line, pay a high cover charge, then get inside to discover the place is practically empty. The best way to avoid this is to avoid the club.

And feel fee to post any clubs doing this policy on the comments section of this article. Sometimes, the problem is the doormen themselves. Some know they have power over customers and like to use it to feed their egos. They purposely take their time to build the drama. Poor management allows this to happen; again, post any clubs with ego-filled doormen and bad management in the comments section of this article.

This being said, the bouncers at Vegas nightclubs are remarkably friendly. They are smart enough to know to avoid any confrontations for several reasons. One, it could chase away people and two, any unnecessary delays make the wait time even longer for other barflies. Bars on the other hand vary greatly with their dress codes. Some bars will also have a small cover charge, but this is rare. For example, every nightclub in Las Vegas has a free guest list.

This only applies to clubs in Las Vegas, and it works for both men and women. I wrote another post about the Las Vegas guest list here. In other cities, like New York, many of the top clubs require minimum bar tabs. Nightclubs in Los Angeles are completely different. They are largely based on how much money you spend and who you know. The best way to find out how to get into the clubs in your area is to observe how other people are getting in.

Going to the club early and talking to the bouncers can also teach you a lot about the club. Bouncers cannot physically kick you out of a club for no reason, but they can ask you to leave. Bouncers also have the right to refuse entry into a venue. If you were denied entry and feel like you were singled out, I recommend speaking to the club owner or manager to work out a solution.

Arguing with a bouncer will NEVER get you back into the club that night, and it may actually get you banned! As far as IDs go, bouncers have the right to check them, but not take them. Once you do that, here are some last minute tips ensure you get into the venue smoothly:.

How do I get into nightclubs for free? If you want to get into clubs for free, every city requires a different approach. The most effective way to cut lines and get in for free is to befriend the door staff, but there are other ways too. At Lavo brunch , for example, table changes happen pretty frequently. Perhaps surprisingly, we get a lot of guest list requests after midnight. Not only do most list reservations close around 8 pm, but clubs stop letting guest list groups into the club around midnight.

And shocker! None of them have to do with your promoter. Here are a few reasons why you might get denied entry. Just be sure to get there on time, and you should be fine.

But when you arrive at the club and check-in for your table, your group gets sat at an upper dance floor table instead. How did that happen? And although a nightclub does its best to quote pricing as accurate as possible, anything can happen. For instance, on this night, in particular, an NFL team came to the club and bought up the dance floor tables.

A Vegas nightclub guest list can get canceled. Same goes for Calvin at Wet Republic. Instead, we recommend purchasing tickets online. And the price is no joke. The cover could be two to three times higher than if you had purchased your tickets online in advance.

Other times, a guest list may be limited to the first X number of people. This happened last year on a holiday weekend at Encore Beach Club. Only the first ladies received guest list entry. You must arrive by this time for guaranteed entry. When this happens, management will close the club entirely. Most Vegas nightclubs adhere to a strict dress code. Many clubs prohibit certain items in their fine print. Even torn clothing is okay and that goes for both men and women.

A girl-guy is a nightclub VIP host that finds people to party with bottle service guests. Now it can be a lot of work for the girl-guy.

All this to say, a lot of effort may go on behind the scenes. This goes for everyone, including bottle service reservations. Being loud or rude to the staff are typically tell-tale signs for security to turn guests away.

When this happens, table service guests have already specified the tip amount at check-in. Other clubs, though, will leave the tip line blank and let you fill in the amount. Bottle service guests should at least tip the cocktail server. Unfortunately, there are some people in the clubs that are up to no good.

All it takes is one glance away from your drink, and you could fall victim to someone trying to take advantage of you. So how do you protect yourself? I like to do is this: whenever I walk anywhere in the club or whenever my eyes are away from my glass, I always cover my drink with my hand.

If you see anyone tampering with bottles or doing anything shady, report it to club security immediately. When you receive a bottle service quote at most Vegas nightclubs, the table options will have a maximum number of guests listed.

Now you might think that the guest quantity means that there will be enough seating for that many people. So, if you got a back wall table, then eight people will sit comfortably. This, however, is not the case. The guest quantity is related to the minimum spend only. Essentially, the club is saying that this spend amount is valid for up to X number of guests. If you have more, the minimum spend will be higher. So how many people will sit comfortably at a back wall table?

Well, not eight. Check out the photo below to see the size of these tables. But to other people, I get that it may matter. If you want to make sure that you have enough seating for everyone, consider upgrading to the next size table.

For instance, the 3rd tier couch will fit a group of eight much more comfortably than a back wall table. Seems easy enough, right?
