If illusion dust sells for 3g and Greater Eternals sell for 15g, then your average take from a disenchant is The trick is finding enough runecloth and star rubies. My server goes through waves. I can often find runecloth for as low as 6s per piece in stacks of 20, but I average 15s per piece. When I first discovered this, star rubies were selling for 1g50s but now they're up to 4g for an average ruby. I get occasional droughts of reasonably priced runecloth now that most folks are 70,but I get through those droughts by farming my own or just waiting till prices cycle back down.

I started to solo this boss with my survival hunter at lvl 70, in Northrend greenies: never died once. Runecloth Headband to later disenchant to get even more. It's recomended that a Paladin or Death Knight do the farming, because the mobs are pretty big and a lot of caster clothies don't do so well. Farming the Aucton House is much easier and proffitable; I just buy low and sell high! Lots of players don't even know what they have in the way of weapons, armor or the essences themselves, and will often just throw them out there and let the default settings do the work so they can get back to whatever they were doing.

So far 8 greater's in half an hour. Will you have some bad luck and have no greens drops? Sure, but that is pretty exceptional, and it is definitely not the standard experience as far as I have seen. Besides, green drops are just bonuses - the real reason you should be running this instance is for cloth. A full clear should take less than an hour my best is 45 minutes, and that is killing every trash mob but make sure you have a lot of bag space.
Farming GEE's is made extremely easy in these instances because you should also be looting a boat-load of Runecloth. Runecloth Headband. Base materials to create these are: 8 Thorium Bars, 6 Dream Dust, and 1 rugged leather. It should net me a nice profit at the AH.
Disanchanted they drop Greater Eternal Essences and Illusion Dust , both will come handy for enchanting. Imperial Plate Leggings will work too , needs more Thorium though , but will drop more of each. Given how cheap the mats are, definitely worth it if you're trying to power your enchanter through this phase and don't feel like farming in Blackrock. Edit: these numbers may be slightly high given that my enchanter does have the guild "Bountiful Bags" perk. That was it.

You more or less break even with the dust if you can sell them for 1g each which is pretty standard, and you make a killing by selling the essences for roughly 6g each. I've been doing this on Bronzebeard for over a year, averaging about 15g in profit each time I enter an auction house.
Not bad for no work at all. Prices are as high as i can reach. We get ppl selling these for G, but it's been going down for a while now.
